Meet The Team
Gbemi Adekoya (Coach G)
Hey there, I'm Gbemi, or Coach G, as my clients like to call me.
I'm a Psychotherapist, and you know what lights me up?
Collaborating with people determined to become their absolute best. Together, we untangle life's twists and turns, doing the essential work of exploring, identifying, and getting unstuck from old patterns, so you can become the version of yourself you desire, and deserve to be.
I'm a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). I offer clinical therapy to clients in Texas, and because of my firm belief that everyone deserves help and support, no matter where they are, I also provide coaching, which excludes the clinical diagnosis and treatment of disorders, to clients outside Texas.
With a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UHV and a Bachelor's in Behavioral Science from UHCL, I'm well-equipped to help. I'm Board Certified in Applied Behavior Analysis and have completed the first level of Gottman Couples Therapy Method. My extensive experience in the Human Services field includes roles as a Crisis Counselor for the National Suicide Prevention Helpline, Case Manager and Disability Integration Advisor for FEMA, and Behavior Therapist specializing in Autism and Neurodivergence.
My therapeutic approach is client-led and personalized to you. It is also trauma-informed, recognizing the impact of life experiences and culture on your current circumstances, and focusing on "what happened to you" rather than "what's wrong with you." I combine evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and current Neuroscience research to provide practical tools and support to improve your outcomes.

Raymond is an out-of-the-box thinker who believes that therapy is not a process that can only be done in a room. Numerous activities can be seen as therapeutic once an individual is open to broadening their view of what healing could look like. Raymond has obtained various experiences working with a wide variety of populations and cultures; which includes but not limited to those with mental illness, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, juvenile probation, workplace stressors, and conflicts. Raymond strives to bring awareness to mental health rather than deny its existence by creating a space for people to feel connected and to be able to express themselves without judgment. He uses solution-focused, attachment-based, and collaborative therapy to reinforce the need to partner with each individual.
